[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Security specialist KT Telecop announced on the 27th that it held a general shareholders' meeting and board of directors meeting and appointed Daesu Park as the new CEO to lead KT Telecop's growth.

The new CEO Daesu Park is a professional manager who joined KT in 1989 and has built a broad career within the KT Group, serving as head of the Public Customer Division, director of the Economic Management Research Institute, and head of the Business Cooperation Division. KT Telecop explained that Park was appointed as the new CEO in recognition of his deep knowledge in advanced information and communication technology (ICT) as an expert in the telecommunications field, as well as his extensive practical experience and management capabilities within the KT Group.

In his inaugural speech, CEO Park stated, "Based on trust management such as humility, listening, and delegation of authority, I will lead the company and employees to continuous mutual growth by eliciting empathy and voluntary participation from the members."

With the new leader, KT Telecop plans to focus on establishing itself as a customer-centric ICT security company this year. CEO Park said, "We will provide differentiated value to customers by expanding convergence security that incorporates new ICT technologies such as AI and 5G, which are strengths of the KT Group." He added, "We will pursue securing price competitiveness through technological innovation, improving dispatch services with AI intelligent monitoring and dispatch systems, and providing customized integrated offerings by consolidating KT Group's capabilities," and "We will continue to promote unmanned business utilizing our core competencies in dispatch, monitoring, and ICT technology."
