[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] On the 26th, Go Minjeong, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for Gwangjin District, Seoul, expressed her thoughts after completing candidate registration at the Gwangjin District Election Commission, saying, "My life has been a series of days fighting against prejudice."

On the same day, Go said on her Facebook, "Whether it was marrying a poet 11 years older, graduating from a university in Suwon and joining KBS, or becoming the Blue House spokesperson without any experience as a political reporter, my past days were always about fighting prejudice."

She continued, "And even at this moment, I am fighting all kinds of prejudices. But I am not lonely. Because there are people who understand my sincerity and recognize the life I have lived," adding, "I will trust and run until the end."

She also said, "While visiting the field, I often hear that I must win. I remind myself of the mission to realize the desperate hearts of those people," emphasizing, "Until April 15, I will show my sincerity to the people and the residents of Gwangjin."

Meanwhile, Gwangjin District is drawing attention as a fierce battleground between candidate Go and Oh Sehun of the United Future Party, who previously served as the mayor of Seoul.
