[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] As a result of the Seoul Metro Union 2nd Executive Committee general election held from the 23rd to 12 PM on the 26th, the candidate team of Chairman Kim Dae-hoon and Secretary-General Kim Tae-hoon, who ran unopposed, was elected.
The Seoul Metro Union Central Election Commission officially announced at 2 PM on March 26 that the candidate team of Kim Dae-hoon and Kim Tae-hoon was elected with 8,703 votes cast (78.95% turnout) out of 11,023 registered voters, and 6,904 votes in favor (79.3%).
The Seoul Metro Union 2nd Executive Committee general election was conducted via electronic voting (mobile), electing three division heads along with the Secretary-General (no candidate registered for the Vehicle Division) and 63 branch chiefs (19 branches out of 82 had no registered candidates).
The division heads and branch chiefs with vacancies due to no registered candidates will be elected through by-elections later. The term of the 2nd Executive Committee is two years, from April 14 to April 13, 2022.
