[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A teenager who was an operator of the Telegram 'Baksa Room' has been handed over to the prosecution.
The Cyber Safety Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 26th that they arrested A (16) for operating a chatroom called 'Taepyeongyang Expedition Team' and distributing child sexual exploitation materials, and sent him to the prosecution on the 20th of last month.
According to the police, A is suspected of distributing sexually exploitative videos through a separate chatroom called 'Taepyeongyang Expedition Team' while acting as an operator of the 'Baksa Room.'
A reportedly operated under the nickname 'Taepyeongyang' from last year when he was in the third year of middle school until February this year, recruiting about 10,000 members.
