[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] A vehicle equipped with Doosan Infracore's Euro 6 electronic 'DX12' engine for commercial vehicles has been launched in South Korea.
Doosan Infracore announced on the 26th that the first Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle truck 'Prima' equipped with the new DX12 engine was delivered to a customer on the 25th of this month.
The DX12 engine is an engine developed by Doosan Infracore to supply Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle. It has a displacement of 11.1 liters and a maximum output of 460 horsepower.

Doosan Infracore explained that the DX12 engine is developed as an electronic model and is a high-performance, eco-friendly product that meets the European vehicle emission regulation Euro 6 without an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system.
Doosan Infracore also applied a common rail system, an electronic system that supplies and injects diesel fuel at high pressure, and high-efficiency Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology that blocks harmful substance emissions, and claimed it has world-class fuel efficiency and durability in its class.
Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle plans to install the DX12 engine in a total of 25 truck models, including Prima and Novus, for sale.
Baek Hyung-beom, Executive Director of Doosan Infracore Engine BG, said, "The DX12 electronic model is an engine with world-class product competitiveness in fuel efficiency, durability, and after-treatment technology," adding, "We will steadily expand the supply destinations to commercial vehicle markets in major emerging countries as well as domestically."
Doosan Infracore plans to continuously expand its profitable medium and large engine lineup, including the DX12 engine, and promote growth in its engine business.
