Jungjingong "Ansan Yeonsuwon Provided as COVID-19 Treatment Center"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 26th that it will provide dormitory facilities at the Small and Medium Business Training Institute located in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, as a residential treatment center for mild COVID-19 patients among nationals arriving from Europe.

Residents of the residential treatment center will be discharged after receiving two consecutive negative test results conducted at 24-hour intervals following symptom improvement, in accordance with COVID-19 response guidelines.

The residential treatment center within the Small and Medium Business Training Institute is overseen by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and will be jointly operated by government ministries and seven related public institutions until the situation is resolved.

Jo Jeong-gwon, Acting President of the Small and Medium Business Corporation, stated, "The Small and Medium Business Training Institute was chosen as a residential treatment center due to its proximity to Incheon International Airport and the metropolitan area," adding, "We plan to actively support the full recovery of COVID-19 patients in close cooperation with the government."
