On the 25th, Choo Sung-hoon posted several photos on his Instagram, reporting the local situation in Hawaii: "There is a stay-at-home order in Hawaii. All restaurants are closed."
He added, "I can't do any of the daily exercises I usually do. There is no one at the beach either," and encouraged, "Let's unite and overcome COVID-19."
The released photos showed Choo Sung-hoon looking out at an empty beach.
Choo Sung-hoon has been living in Hawaii since moving there from Tokyo in 2018 with his wife Yano Shiho and daughter Sarang.
Meanwhile, according to CNN and other U.S. media on the 24th (local time), the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the U.S. increased by about 9,700 from the previous day, totaling 52,381. Hawaii reported its first COVID-19 death on the same day.
