[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 25th that transparent partitions have been installed in the county office cafeteria to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19.
This is part of the 'Social Distancing Campaign,' where transparent acrylic partitions are installed between cafeteria tables to proactively prevent administrative work disruptions that could occur due to infectious disease transmission.
The staggered lunch hours are divided into three phases to avoid many people gathering in multiple places at the same time. Additionally, hand sanitizers are placed at the cafeteria entrance to ensure thorough personal hand hygiene, and efforts are made to maintain hygiene by refraining from unnecessary conversations during meals.
Kim San, Governor of Muan County, stated, "Public officials are taking the lead in practicing social distancing," and urged, "We ask all county residents to actively participate in this campaign and work together to prevent the spread of COVID-19."
Meanwhile, Muan County has expanded the cafeteria's closed days from twice a month to twice a week to share the burden of local businesses and small merchants affected by COVID-19.
