[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Seulgi Kim] Testimony has emerged that Jo Joo-bin (25), the operator of the 'Telegram Nth Room' (Doctor's Room), who threatened minors and women to produce sexual exploitation materials and sold them, had a strong pride, considering himself like a god within Telegram.

On the 25th, Park Hyung-jin, CEO of EasyComs, a digital undertaker company that deletes videos and photos on the internet upon request, appeared on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' and said, "He thought he was a unique and god-like existence within Telegram."

On the broadcast that day, Park revealed that he had direct contact with Jo Joo-bin, saying, "Two victims of the 'Doctor's Room' requested deletion from me."

Park explained, "Both victims were high school students. So I started monitoring the Doctor's Room. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency also requested cooperation, so I contacted the Doctor's Room," adding, "When I approached pretending to be a victim, he called me. When I didn't answer, he cursed. He seemed very suspicious."

He continued, "It was difficult to have a conversation for more than 5 minutes without making a payment, and he used a lot of Ilbe slang and cursed, making it hard to talk," adding, "He thought of himself as unique and a god-like figure within Telegram. He seemed very proud."

Jo Joo-bin reportedly urged payments in a calculated manner, proposing 200,000 won, 500,000 won, and 1,500,000 won in stages to Park, who posed as a buyer, and introduced virtual currency agencies.

Park also revealed that there are many similar chat rooms on Telegram besides the Doctor's Room.

Regarding another secret chat room, he explained, "Last December, there was a Telegram secret chat room with about 8,000 participants where several of my clients were present. It was difficult to delete videos and photos in this chat room, so I tracked IP addresses for about two months and reported them to the police."

He emphasized, "They posted victims' names, contact information, and addresses, and even distributed illegal filming materials. There are really many such secret chat rooms," adding, "Doctor's Room or Nth Room are just some of the known names, and there are quite a few under various names."

Park raised his voice for countermeasures, saying, "It's not just a few like (God God, Watchman, Doctor, etc.). The actual number of participants in these rooms is really large," and "Although many leave Telegram after the Doctor was caught, there are still people remaining who share illegal filming materials."
