Uijeongbu Gyeonggi Peace Plaza to Become a 'Culture and Arts' Hub... 10 Million Won Support Per Project

[Asia Economy (Uijeongbu) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is conducting the 'Gyeonggi Peace Plaza Regional Culture Linkage Contest Support Project,' which involves participation from local art organizations and clubs. The province is recruiting participants until the 14th of next month.

This project utilizes the Gyeonggi Peace Plaza in front of the northern government office building of Gyeonggi Provincial Government located in Uijeongbu, supporting various cultural and artistic activities themed around 'peace.' Gyeonggi Province has allocated a total budget of 110 million KRW. Up to 10 million KRW will be supported per program.

Selected art organizations or clubs can use facilities such as Gyeonggi Peace Plaza, Gyeonggi Millennium Gallery, and Peace Talk Hall to carry out various cultural activities themed on peace, including choir and vocal performances, art exhibitions, photo exhibitions, performance shows, plays and musicals, participatory lectures, and art experience programs.

Art organizations or clubs wishing to participate can download the application form from the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation website (www.ggcf.kr), fill it out, and submit it via email (31ggcf100@ggcf.or.kr) by the 15th of next month.

Since its opening in November 2018, Gyeonggi Peace Plaza has been operating various programs supporting leisure and cultural life for residents in the northern Gyeonggi region, such as small-scale performances and lawn film festivals.
