Joa Jaehee, Democratic Party Candidate for Songpa-gap, "Leading Future Economy with 4th Industrial Revolution" Jaehee Cho, candidate for the National Assembly from Songpa Gap, Democratic Party of Korea, participated as a panelist in the 2019 4th Industrial Revolution Global Policy Conference.


[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Jo Jae-hee, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for Songpa Gap district, promised, “With abundant government experience as a policy expert in the three democratic administrations?the People’s Government, the Participatory Government, and the Moon Jae-in Government?I will implement policies for the revitalization of the Korean economy,” adding, “I will pursue focused investment in the key technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution necessary to lead the future economy.”


Candidate Jo proposed the following pledges: ▲ Leading the future economy through the Fourth Industrial Revolution ▲ Realizing the Youth New Start Project ▲ Promoting future-oriented real estate policies ▲ Hosting the 2032 South-North Joint Olympics ▲ Developing the Songpa International Business District ▲ Creating Asia’s Broadway ▲ Establishing the best scenic and high-quality residential environment ▲ Designing a clean environment city ▲ Creating an education special zone ideal for raising children ▲ Building a city that respects the elderly ▲ A warm city for socially vulnerable groups ▲ A city coexisting with companion animals.


Among these, he declared that his top priority is to make Songpa the central city of the Fourth Industrial Revolution under the banner of “Leading the future economy through the Fourth Industrial Revolution.” He said, “Songpa, along with Gangnam, is a distribution and tourism city, but beyond that, I will attract focused investment in the key technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to make it a region leading the future economy.”


He continued, “In the next five years, 7 million jobs will disappear and 2 million jobs will be created in 15 advanced and emerging market countries that account for 65% of global employment due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” adding, “Since Korea is included, job losses are inevitable, but if we lead the attraction of new technology investments, we can induce the creation of youth jobs.”


He also pledged, “I will integrate various comprehensive arts contents and storytelling projects such as culture, arts, and music led by the Korean Wave into Songpa,” and promised to focus on fostering new growth industries that have a competitive edge in the global market. Through this, candidate Jo declared the revitalization of the Korean economy alongside culture.


Jo Jae-hee said, “I started living in Songpa in 1986 at Jangmi Apartment, so it has been 35 years, and Songpa has become my hometown where I raised all three of my children,” emphasizing, “Songpa raised Jo Jae-hee, so the person who will raise Songpa from now on is Jo Jae-hee,” promising to make Songpa a city with focused investment in the key technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
