Publication of Revised Edition of Science and Technology Entrepreneurship for University Students

[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Beyond simple document preparation methods, a revised edition of the technology startup textbook, which analyzes technology and includes startup exit strategies and internationalization strategies, has been published. The content on content and copyright revenue has been strengthened.

The Sungkyunkwan University Press published "Science and Technology Entrepreneurship for University Students" on the 1st. The author, Professor Kim Kyunghwan of Sungkyunkwan University's Graduate School of Global Entrepreneurship, introduced, "Existing startup textbooks tended to focus simply on how to write business plans or business model creation methods," adding, "This textbook comprehensively covers startup exit strategies and internationalization strategies."

In this revised edition, the content on content-based platform business and copyright has been enhanced. As the number of individual creators earning copyright revenue through platforms such as YouTube and AfreecaTV has surged, this aims to encourage young people to engage in copyright-based platform businesses.

Along with this, it presents ▲ policies to foster copyright platform companies ▲ simplification of transaction procedures within copyright platforms ▲ policies to maximize copyright value ▲ strengthening of social safety nets for creators. Professor Kim explained, "Fostering one-person creative enterprises utilizing such copyrights is a good strategy to overcome the current economic and employment situation in our country."

Meanwhile, this textbook was selected in the '2019 Sejong Books Academic Division,' hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Publication Industry Promotion Agency. The author, Professor Kim, holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Sungkyunkwan University, a master's degree in Information and Communication Management from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and a doctorate in Business Administration from Sungkyunkwan University. He has served as the head of the Technology Commercialization Division at the Korea Technology Exchange, and as the general manager of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's New Technology Incubation Project and Commercialization-Linked Technology Development Project (R&BD). Currently, he serves as vice president of the Korean Entrepreneurship Society, vice president of the Management Education Society, and is involved in the Seoul Campus Town Project.
