KT Provides 3,700 Homeschooling Content Pieces Due to School Opening Delay

[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] As the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) delays the opening of kindergartens and elementary schools nationwide, KT is supporting 'homeschooling' using Olleh TV.

On the 16th, KT announced that it will open a special section called Olleh TV 'Kidsland TV Homeschool' until the end of this month, providing over 3,700 pieces of content organized into 156 themes. This is the largest scale among domestic IPTV kids services. Among these, about 1,500 pieces of content are available for free.

Kidsland is designed for households with preschool children aged 3 to under 7, the main user group, allowing homeschooling divided into areas such as the Nuri curriculum, English, reading, daily habits, physical play, and art play. Over the past two weeks, the themes with the highest usage growth among the 156 themes were ▲1st place 'Our Home is a Kids Cafe' ▲2nd place 'Pre-elementary Korean & Math Homeschooling' ▲3rd place 'TV Kindergarten: Best Art Play.'

Song Jae-ho, Executive Vice President and Head of KT Media Platform Business Division, said, "We hope that the Kidsland TV Homeschool content provided on Olleh TV can bring vitality to families with children who are spending more time at home," adding, "We will continue to sincerely consider things from the customer's perspective to provide benefits and satisfaction that customers can directly feel in their daily lives."
