[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the 15th, SBS's 'Running Man' aired an episode featuring actors Jo Byeonggyu and Lim Suyoung as guests, who enjoyed fun games with the members.
On this day’s 'Running Man,' the members conducted the opening in a warm studio. Kim Jongkook teased Yang Sechan, who had his bangs cut short, saying, "It's Park Saeroyi's hairstyle," and Song Jihyo laughed as she didn’t understand Kim Jongkook’s comment.
The production team announced that since outdoor activities are cautious these days, they would hold a 'Running Man Has It All Planned' race that can be enjoyed happily even at home. They then introduced today’s guests, Jo Byeonggyu and Lim Suyoung.
Jo Byeonggyu and Lim Suyoung each brought items that could be enjoyed indoors. Haha, seeing the items Jo Byeonggyu brought, said, "You’ve never been on an MT (Membership Training), right?" To which Jo Byeonggyu replied, "Actually, I’ve been skipping school lately and got expelled. I didn’t submit the withdrawal form because of my pride," showing his quirky charm.
Together with Jo Byeonggyu and Lim Suyoung, the members decided to plan three daily activities to spend time with friends. They would carry out these three activities according to the plan, and the person whose plan was selected would receive 10 R-coins as the host. The production team said that ultimately, the top three who collected the most R-coins would receive prizes, and the last place would get a penalty.
Yang Sechan, Ji Seokjin, Jo Byeonggyu, and Jeon Somin created their proposals on laptops, while the others?Song Jihyo, Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Jongkook, and Haha?made their proposals by grinding food themselves. Meanwhile, Ji Seokjin, who was not good at handling PPT, received help from Jo Byeonggyu nearby and was teased by Yoo Jae-suk and others.
Yoo Jae-suk suggested that the simplest, unplanned plan was the best, proposing to eat (ramen) / be with Kwangsoo / shout in silence. Haha pointed out, "You’re good with words," about Yoo Jae-suk’s plan. After listening to all the other members’ plans, the members voted, and Kim Jongkook’s plan took first place.
With Kim Jongkook as the first host for winning first place, they started the first schedule, 'Luck-based Trash Can Basketball.' There were nine people, so the teams were divided into Kim Jongkook-Haha-Yang Sechan, Song Jihyo-Jeon Somin-Lim Suyoung, and Ji Seokjin-Yoo Jae-suk-Jo Byeonggyu. Jo Byeonggyu, who teamed up with Ji Seokjin and Yoo Jae-suk, said, "It feels like a penalty," drawing disapproving looks from the older members.
Since coins were needed to buy props from the prop room for the game, each team decided to contribute 1 coin. While Jeon Somin went to the prop room with the collected coins, Jo Byeonggyu performed an impression of Lee Sun-kyun’s voice, making the members burst into laughter.
The first player in 'Luck-based Trash Can Basketball' was Haha. Yang Sechan had to throw a single tissue, but when he said he wanted to throw it in a clump, the members debated whether it was allowed. Yoo Jae-suk said, "You can’t clump it too much," while Jeon Somin sided with Yang Sechan, saying, "Why can’t you clump it?" As the argument dragged on, they decided to vote, and except for Ji Seokjin and Yoo Jae-suk, all other members voted 'clumping is allowed.'
Meanwhile, Yoo Jae-suk suspiciously said, "Someone seems to be farting quietly," and Kim Jongkook offered, "Honestly, I’ll give one R-coin if you confess." Jeon Somin raised her hand and said, "It’s me!!" and received scolding from the members. Eventually, Ji Seokjin confessed, "It’s me, man. I farted three times during the commercial breaks."
When Jo Byeonggyu asked, "Aren’t you going to use the 10 R-coins for the host?" Kim Jongkook replied that he would distribute them at his discretion. At that moment, Ji Seokjin approached Kim Jongkook and earned an R-coin by farting after one failed attempt.
After finishing the first schedule, the second was decided to be eating ramen and kimchi fried rice made by Lim Suyoung. Since Lim Suyoung was going to make the kimchi fried rice herself, Yoo Jae-suk and others decided to cook ramen. Jo Byeonggyu tried to sell eggs he brought from home to Yoo Jae-suk, but Yoo Jae-suk hesitated, saying they were boiled eggs and didn’t want to buy them. However, after Jo Byeonggyu’s persistent attempts, Yoo Jae-suk finally gave 1 R-coin for 9 eggs.
However, when Yoo Jae-suk saw Yang Sechan buy 10 eggs for 1 R-coin from the prop room, he tried to sell them back to Jo Byeonggyu but failed. To make matters worse, Jo Byeonggyu revealed, "Those are boiled eggs," which frustrated Yoo Jae-suk again. But Jeon Somin, overhearing this, pointed out that Jo Byeonggyu’s eggs were raw eggs, and Ji Seokjin said, "Since Kwangsoo isn’t here, he’s cheating."
Despite being the host, Lim Suyoung, tired from making kimchi fried rice, quietly gave R-coins to Song Jihyo, who helped her. Yoo Jae-suk, seeing this, joked, "You can’t just hand out money like pocket change," causing laughter.
After enjoying the ramen and kimchi fried rice, the members decided to do Yoo Jae-suk’s 'Shout in Silence' as the third schedule. Yoo Jae-suk, as the host, boasted, "Everyone, the spring of hosting has finally come."
The teams were divided into Ji Seokjin-Kim Jongkook-Jeon Somin-Jo Byeonggyu and Haha-Lim Suyoung-Yang Sechan-Song Jihyo, with Yoo Jae-suk participating in both teams. First, Haha’s team played the game with the phrases 'Endure and wait,' 'Repay a kindness with gratitude,' and 'A few words,' but they didn’t guess any correctly. On the other hand, Ji Seokjin’s team got one out of three questions right.
The 'Running Man Has It All Planned' race, conducted over three schedules, ended with Kim Jongkook winning first place with 17 R-coins. Jeon Somin and Lim Suyoung tied for second place with 16 coins each. Ji Seokjin came in last with 10 coins.
The prizes were lucky draws, but Kim Jongkook got a dud. Lim Suyoung, who wanted Bluetooth earphones, was very disappointed to get a member-signed name tag. Lastly, Jeon Somin won an air fryer, earning the envy of all members. Ji Seokjin’s penalty for coming last was to record the next day’s opening without wearing a microphone.
SBS’s variety show 'Running Man' airs every Saturday at 5 p.m.
