Yeokjeon Halmeoni Beer (Yeokjeon F&C Co., Ltd.) recently announced that it will provide COVID-19 support funds to franchise stores struggling due to the pandemic.
Both franchise headquarters and franchise stores are facing difficulties due to COVID-19. When franchise store sales decline, the headquarters' logistics sales and royalties also decrease. With no new franchise store openings, the company is experiencing various challenges. In response, Yeokjeon Halmeoni Beer is taking the lead in supporting franchisees for mutual survival.
So Jong-geun, CEO of Yeokjeon Halmeoni Beer, stated, “Having started from a single store and becoming the head of a franchise company, I understand the hardships of individual store owners better. During difficult times, sharing and overcoming together will make us stronger and last longer. When times were good, we practiced coexistence and made efforts from our respective positions; now, in tough times, we must call for symbiosis and cooperate for survival.”
Accordingly, on February 24, despite shortages of hand sanitizers and masks, Yeokjeon Halmeoni Beer provided free hand sanitizers and disinfection services to all 431 franchise stores to ensure hygiene for stores and customers.
Additionally, the company decided to support franchise stores with 2 million KRW per month for rent nationwide, along with other supplementary supplies, totaling approximately 1 billion KRW in franchise support. Considering the impact of COVID-19 on franchise stores, they have also confirmed product placement (PPL) support worth about 300 million KRW in upcoming dramas.
In response to these headquarters’ support policies, Kim Hye-gyeom, manager of the Incheon Juan branch, posted on Instagram, “The material and emotional support from headquarters during difficult times is a great help,” gaining recognition as a socially responsible company from many people.
Meanwhile, Yeokjeon Halmeoni Beer is loved by many customers as a cost-effective beer brand, distinguished by its unique dried seafood side dishes and holding the country’s first technology patent for 'slushy beer.'
