[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Product Safety Management Institute announced on the 10th that it is accepting applications for awards recognizing contributions to product safety management until May 1st, in relation to the '2020 Product Safety Day' event.
Now in its 13th year, 'Product Safety Day' is the only award event in the field of product safety, hosted by the National Institute of Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and organized by the Product Safety Management Institute.
Last year, a total of 45 awards were given to individuals and organizations with significant contributions to product safety, including 2 orders and medals, and 4 commendations from the President and Prime Minister.
Applications are open to individuals or organizations who have contributed to public safety through exemplary product safety activities throughout the entire process of manufacturing, distribution, and consumption of products.
The award operation guidelines can be viewed in the notices section on the websites of the National Institute of Technology and Standards and the Product Safety Management Institute. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Management Planning Team of the Product Safety Management Institute.
The 2020 Product Safety Day event will be held on November 11th at COEX in Seoul, and an exhibition of winning works from the Children's Product Safety Contest will also be held alongside the award ceremony.
