Sinan-gun Urgently Provides Protective Suit Sets to Sister City Gyeongsan-si

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jeonnam Sinan-gun announced on the 9th that it provided 300 sets of personal protective equipment (protective suits, goggles, protective gloves, shoe covers, masks) worth about 7 million won on the 6th, as COVID-19 rapidly spread to Gyeongsan-si (Mayor Choi Young-jo).

Since establishing a sisterhood relationship in 1998 as a symbol of East-West harmony, Sinan-gun and Gyeongsan-si have taken the lead in regional development and improving residents' convenience through various exchange activities such as civil servant club exchanges, mutual exchange of specialty products, and sales events.

Recently, two doctors were dispatched to Gyeongsan-si, which is experiencing difficulties due to COVID-19, and support has been sent to help Gyeongsan-si overcome COVID-19, including 2,100 packets of black garlic extract and 200 packs of seasoned seaweed, which are specialty products.

Park Woo-ryang, the governor of Sinan-gun, said, "After seeing media reports that there are difficulties in securing protective suits (Level D) due to the expansion of COVID-19, we hope that by selecting the necessary protective suits for medical staff before patient treatment, it will help to quickly eradicate the COVID-19 situation that Gyeongsan-si is experiencing."

Meanwhile, Sinan-gun is making every effort to prevent the local spread of COVID-19 by operating the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, screening clinics, mask supply task force, conducting quarantine activities in 14 towns and townships, installing and operating thermal imaging cameras at five passenger ship terminals, and supporting public mask sales personnel at pharmacies.
