[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Jaguar Land Rover Korea announced on the 9th that it will officially launch the premium family sports utility vehicle (SUV) Land Rover New Discovery Sport gasoline model P250 SE in Korea.
The Discovery Sport is a best-selling model with over 500,000 units sold worldwide, characterized by its versatility, space utilization, and excellent on- and off-road driving performance.
Reflecting the increasing demand for gasoline SUVs in the domestic market, Jaguar Land Rover Korea plans to expand consumer choices by adding the gasoline model P250 SE. The P250 SE, the first gasoline model of the Discovery Sport, offers the smooth driving feel and excellent quietness unique to Land Rover's Ingenium gasoline engine while delivering powerful performance.
Land Rover's Ingenium 2.0ℓ 4-cylinder turbo gasoline engine delivers dynamic performance with a high output of 249 horsepower and a maximum torque of 37.2 kg·m.
Baek Jeong-hyun, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover Korea, said, “We have launched the New Discovery Sport gasoline model, which provides practicality, safety, excellent driving performance, and quietness, actively reflecting the steadily increasing gasoline demand in the SUV market. The price of the New Discovery Sport gasoline model P250 SE, with the individual consumption tax reduction applied, is 68.37 million KRW, and it comes with a 5-year service plan package. The prices of the previously launched diesel models with the individual consumption tax reduction applied are 60.87 million KRW for the D150 S trim, 64.97 million KRW for the D180 S trim, and 71.27 million KRW for the D180 SE trim.
