Candidate Kim Seonghwan: "Minsaeng Party Must Win Public Support Through Fair Competition"

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Kim Seonghwan, a preliminary candidate for the National Assembly election in Dong and Nam Districts (Eul), Gwangju Metropolitan City, stated on the 8th, "The Minsheng Party should also quickly embrace public sentiment through fair competition."

Candidate Kim said, "The Minsheng Party, which was formed by the merger of three Honam-based parties only on the 24th of last month, has decided to soon transition to an election committee system, indicating that internal stability is being achieved quickly," and emphasized, "Above all, since the Minsheng Party carries the banner of reform, it must shed old practices and create a fair and upright political culture."

He added, "The first step is a fair and transparent nomination process, and considering the tight election schedule, the primary rules must be finalized promptly, and through a fair primary, the hearts of voters must be won."

Meanwhile, in the Dongnam-eul electoral district, as incumbent lawmaker Park Juseon, formerly of the Bareunmirae Party, declared his candidacy under the Minsheng Party, former Dong-gu mayor Kim Seonghwan and Park are competing for the final Minsheng Party nomination.
