Nationwide Open Call Until the 13th... Up to 100 Million KRW Support for Technology Development Funding
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gyeongsangnam-do (Governor Kim Kyung-soo) is investing 3.7 billion KRW to develop content within the public exhibition and experience center to revitalize Masan Robot Land in Gyeongnam. Additionally, up to 100 million KRW in technology development funds will be provided to companies residing in the Robot Research Center.
Gyeongnam Province will establish new content in the public exhibition and experience center within the theme park. Currently, 11 pieces of content have been established, but to expand this, about four new contents will be developed within the existing space by the end of the year.
The advisory committee responsible for selecting the content stated, "It is important to create content from the perspective of children and adolescents who will experience it." They believe that even applying simple robot technology to create items that attract the attention of children and adolescents will help increase visitors to Robot Land and revitalize the area.
Furthermore, Gyeongnam Province plans to reflect various ideas combining robot technology with sports, games, and art through a nationwide open contest. The application period for projects is until the 13th of this month, and submissions are accepted by the Gyeongnam Robot Land Foundation. Selected projects will be chosen after a content selection evaluation.
Gyeongnam Province also supports technology development funds for companies residing in the Robot Research Center. After expert project selection evaluations, support of up to 100 million KRW per project will be provided, and the project outcomes will be utilized in the theme park. A representative of a company residing in the Robot Research Center said, "Support for technology development funds greatly helps resident companies realize their ideas," adding, "If robot technology linked to Gyeongnam's specialized fields such as shipbuilding and machinery is developed, there will be synergy with local industries."
