Geoje-si Operates Two COVID-19 'National Safe Hospitals'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Geoje Public Health Center announced on the 6th that it will operate a 'COVID-19 National Safe Hospital' to establish a system where citizens can receive medical treatment with peace of mind amid the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

Currently, Geoje City has two National Safe Hospitals: Geobung Baek Hospital and Malgeunsaem Hospital. These hospitals separate outpatient treatment areas for respiratory patients and non-respiratory patients, and check all visitors for respiratory symptoms and fever before entering the hospital.

Jeong Gi-man, head of Geoje Public Health Center, said, “We hope citizens actively use the National Safe Hospitals where the movement paths of respiratory and non-respiratory patients are completely separated to safely receive treatment from COVID-19,” adding, “We will ensure that citizens can receive medical care with peace of mind.”
