[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Officemeca (CEO Kim Seo-jin) promised to support daily necessities worth 12 million KRW to Yongsan Welfare Foundation (Chairman Seung Man-ho) on the 5th.
Located in Yongsan Electronics Market, Officemeca is a promotional shopping mall specializing in advertising and is a social enterprise prioritized for public institution purchases.
The support will be provided in four installments of 3 million KRW each quarter. The first donated items are hand sanitizers and wet wipes.
CEO Kim Seo-jin said, "I hope this small help reaches the underprivileged who are struggling due to the COVID-19 crisis."
The foundation plans to assemble the received items into daily necessity kits and deliver them to low-income households, including elderly people living alone.
Chairman Seung Man-ho said, "We are grateful to Officemeca for promising donations during these difficult times," and added, "The foundation will also do its best to overcome the crisis."
Officemeca has been continuously supporting not only the foundation but also organizations such as the Korean Red Cross and Good Neighbors.
