Korea Yakult is expanding its fermented milk lineup by launching four new products.
Korea Yakult introduces the kids’ fermented milk ‘I Will’ and the ‘Jang Care Project MPRO3 Pear & Quince Mild’ (hereinafter MPRO3 Mild) to strengthen its portfolio for the stomach, intestines, and liver.
Korea Yakult’s ‘I Will’ is a new product designed for growing children. It features the patented probiotic ‘HP7,’ verified through the ‘Helicobacter Project Will.’ The sugar content has been significantly reduced compared to existing products. Additionally, it contains the immune-related patented probiotic ‘HY7712,’ zinc, three types of vitamins, and calcium. It has received the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s ‘Children’s Preferred Food Quality Certification’ and includes an eco-friendly straw to consider the environment.
Korea Yakult’s ‘MPRO3 Mild’ is an extended version of ‘MPRO3,’ launched in February last year. It features a change in raw material composition and the addition of ‘pear’ and ‘quince’ to create a refreshing and mild taste.
‘MPRO3,’ introduced in February last year, is the first product in Korea to combine ‘probiotics’ and ‘prebiotics’ in one bottle with a dual formulation concept. It surpassed 30 million units in cumulative sales within six months of its launch, driven by word of mouth about its benefits for intestinal health.
Korea Yakult is also reorganizing its liquid product lineup.
The brands previously divided into ‘Yakult’ and the low-sugar product ‘Yakult Light’ will be unified under ‘Yakult Light.’ This product reduces sugar content and calories compared to regular ‘Yakult.’ It includes the patented probiotic ‘HY7712’ developed by Korea Yakult and increases the xylitol content by 1.8 times.
A fermented milk product fortified with vitamins will also be released. ‘Multivita Probiotics’ contains 50 billion probiotics along with 10 types of vitamins and 9 essential amino acids that are easily depleted in busy daily life. In particular, it meets the daily recommended intake for four vitamins (Vitamin A, Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, and folic acid).
Byun Kyung-gu, Marketing Director at Korea Yakult, said, “We have promoted a product portfolio reorganization to strengthen market competitiveness, including applying the patented probiotic ‘HY2782’ to all products. We will continue to solidify our position as a leading probiotics company with innovative products tailored to consumer lifestyles.”
