[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Luna, a singer formerly of the group f(x), confessed that she lost her closest friend following the passing of fellow group member Sulli last year.
On the March 3 broadcast of MBC's 'Human Documentary - People Are Good,' Luna appeared as a guest.
During the show, Luna expressed that before the sorrow of losing Sulli last year had even faded, she lost her closest friend as well.
Luna said, "After I left the group, I didn't see Sulli. When I heard the news of her passing, I sat down on the street and cried. I screamed," adding, "Before Sulli went to heaven, she contacted me saying she wanted to see me. For the first time in 15 years, she spoke informally. It was a message that said, 'Unnie, I want to see you.'"
She tearfully said, "I could feel that it was a message sent after holding back for a long time, so as her older sister, I felt so sorry," and added, "I should have reached out to Sulli first and talked to her. I should have said more. I should have told her I love her more."
Luna's closest friend Lee Ji-eun (Sophia), who passed away at the end of last year, was a trainee dreaming of debuting as a singer.
Luna said, "She was like family to me. She actually lived with us at my house and was my dearest friend," and added, "Her life must have been very painful. I can't fully understand, but I know she must have been in great pain."
She continued, "She was a friend who had a lot in common with me. We relied on each other a lot, but I never thought she would leave like that that day," and tearfully said, "Why did I sleep at that time? It all happened within just an hour. I miss her so much."
