[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] The 1st 'Come to See the Snow Oscar' awards ceremony concluded with a victory for Team DinDin.
On the afternoon of the 1st, KBS2's '2 Days & 1 Night Season 4' aired a special episode featuring the snowy scenery of Gangwon Province. In this broadcast, the members were divided into Team DinDin and Team Ravi, and were shown creating their own videos.
To choose the filming location, the members played the game 'Jumeogi Unda' (Fist is Crying). As a result, the winning Team DinDin filmed at the summit of Balwangsan Mountain, while Team Ravi was given free filming.
Yeon Jung-hoon enthusiastically came up with ideas saying, "Okay, let's do that," and Kim Seon-ho actively responded, sharing a special connection between the two. However, DinDin, the director, seemed completely puzzled by the two, drawing attention. Eventually, he calmed Yeon Jung-hoon and Kim Seon-ho by saying, "You two... what?"
On their way to the filming location with props, Team Ravi exchanged ideas in the car. Director Ravi asked, "How about 'Gisaenggom' (Parasitic Bear)?" to which Moon Se-yoon questioned, "Gisaenggom?" Ravi explained, "Because nature keeps disappearing, the bear keeps parasitizing," and Moon Se-yoon agreed, saying, "Not bad," while Kim Jong-min also chimed in, "Your idea was good."
Ravi's ideas continued. "Like in the movie Parasite, using a phone flashlight to send signals to someone repeatedly," then he laughed after saying, "Then... Elsa sees it."
Moon Se-yoon suggested, "I want a documentary," and Ravi accepted the idea enthusiastically, saying, "Then what if it's a polar bear documentary?" He then insisted on his original idea, "But it's a parasitic bear. So the bear..." leaving Moon Se-yoon puzzled.
While walking to the filming location, Kim Seon-ho mentioned, "Oh, the pay is different?" referring to the appearance fee. DinDin pointed at Yeon Jung-hoon and said, "Yes, it is. This guy gets 10,000 won per hour." Kim Seon-ho then joked, "What? I'm getting 5,000 won," enjoying the playful situation.
At a beautiful spot they found while walking, Team DinDin decided to recreate a hermit crab scene. At Yeon Jung-hoon's "Action," Kim Seon-ho began acting, and Director DinDin urged, "Grab your stomach, grab your stomach! You just got shot!!" to raise the emotional intensity. Yeon Jung-hoon signaled DinDin to be quiet, and DinDin sulked, bringing laughter.
Getting back into character, Kim Seon-ho was filmed by Yeon Jung-hoon who said, "Tell me when you're ready," holding up his phone camera. Kim Seon-ho immediately signaled he was ready, focused on the hermit crab acting. After the scene, Kim Seon-ho checked the footage, asking, "I really cried, but can you see the tears?" Director DinDin expressed satisfaction, saying, "I want to work together on the next project too." Kim Seon-ho and Yeon Jung-hoon replied, "It's an honor, director," and DinDin confidently said, "Hey, this is going to win an award."
Meanwhile, Team Ravi, dressed as characters from 'Frozen,' enjoyed themselves despite the slippery floor causing some comical falls. Moon Se-yoon and Kim Jong-min willingly followed Director Ravi's endless stream of ideas and continued filming. However, the floor was so slippery that Director Ravi fell during filming. Getting up, he said, "I'll film again! Sorry," and reshot the scene. Watching Ravi enthusiastically running and filming, Moon Se-yoon remarked, "I don't think he's normal either."
Team DinDin had good communication because Yeon Jung-hoon and Kim Seon-ho are actors. While the two exchanged ideas, Director DinDin quietly left the scene. Eventually, Yeon Jung-hoon and Kim Seon-ho started filming alone. Yeon Jung-hoon said, "Let's just shoot first. We'll just see the vibe," and began filming Kim Seon-ho, who acted as if running frantically, syncing well. Watching their smooth teamwork, Director DinDin expressed feeling left out, saying, "They're good."
However, DinDin soon said, "No, again, again, again!" and got back into directing. He advised Kim Seon-ho, who made mistakes, "Don't be too conscious of the camera," and scolded him sharply, "This isn't a music show!" fully immersing himself in the director role.
The production team proposed that if one person from Team DinDin took off their top and completed a snow angel, they would receive a bowl of udon. DinDin opposed, saying, "No way. Seon-ho hyung has been working out a lot lately," but Kim Seon-ho countered, "I haven't worked out in a long time." Yeon Jung-hoon sided with DinDin, saying, "Seon-ho has the best body," leading Kim Seon-ho to suggest a fair rock-paper-scissors game as a compromise.
When Kim Seon-ho said this, DinDin snapped back, "I'm the director," and Kim Seon-ho laughed with Yeon Jung-hoon, saying, "What now? We already filmed everything." DinDin pressed Kim Seon-ho, "Are you going to starve your hyung, senior, and dongsaeng like this?" but Kim Seon-ho caught attention by saying, "If I learned anything here, it's that as long as it's not me, it's fine."
As the three couldn't decide, the production team offered udon bowls equal to the number of challenges attempted. Only then did the three grumble but all took on the challenge of making snow angels. While taking off clothes, Yeon Jung-hoon complained, "Do we really have to eat after doing this?" and "I really don't understand." Meanwhile, Kim Seon-ho hurriedly did push-ups, drawing teasing from the members.
Eventually, Team DinDin succeeded in making snow angels with all members. Putting their clothes back on, Yeon Jung-hoon said, "Hey, doing this makes me let go of myself more," and DinDin excitedly said, "Yay, let's eat." However, when they realized the dining spot was outdoors, not indoors, Kim Seon-ho said, "I really didn't expect to eat here," and felt defeated, saying, "I got tricked."
Soon, at the summit of Balwangsan Mountain, facing the cold wind, DinDin, Kim Seon-ho, and Yeon Jung-hoon received bowls of udon and enjoyed the warm broth and noodles. Kim Seon-ho expressed his feelings with a rhyme: "Eating udon shirtless. Tears flow in the morning, and a runny nose in the afternoon."
After many twists and turns, Team DinDin and Team Ravi finished editing and gathered to watch each other's completed works. The members praised each other's works after watching Team DinDin's 'Memories of the Snowman' and Team Ravi's 'Tears of the Snow.' The victory went to Team DinDin by a one-vote difference. Yeon Jung-hoon was moved, saying, "I've never cried when receiving an award, but I'm so grateful."
