[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The fourth confirmed case of COVID-19 has occurred among residents of Seodaemun-gu. The confirmed patient, a 48-year-old male identified as Mr. A, resides in E-Land Haegarden Apartment (157 Susaek-ro) in Bukgajwa 1-dong.
He works at the A-Land headquarters located in Jung-gu, Seoul (5th-6th floors, Dongyang Building, 47 Myeongdong 8ga-gil, Jung-gu). Symptoms appeared after contact with a confirmed patient residing in Anyang-si, who is a colleague at his workplace.
Mr. A visited the public health center in Jung-gu, Seoul, where his workplace is located, and underwent specimen collection. He then maintained self-quarantine at home until he was confirmed positive at 9:30 PM on the 27th. Subsequently, on the morning of the 28th, he was transferred to Seoul Medical Center in Jungnang-gu, a nationally designated isolation hospital.
Seodaemun-gu notified Mr. A’s family to self-quarantine and distributed hygiene kits. On the morning of the 28th, disinfection and sterilization were conducted at the confirmed patient’s residence and surrounding areas.
Additionally, a dedicated contact tracing team was urgently deployed to analyze the contacts.
