Gochang-gun Establishes Administrative Participation Talent Pool to Enhance Engagement and Communication

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 28th that it will operate a ‘Government Participation Talent Pool’ to expand the participation of various groups such as women and youth in county administration and to discover and manage outstanding local talents.

Until now, various residents in agriculture, fisheries, culture, tourism, education, and other fields have faced difficulties participating in county administration.

Accordingly, the county utilized existing lists of instructors from educational programs and committee members active in the region to build a talent pool database on the integrated homepage.

Residents can register or apply to the talent pool at any time to participate in county administration or recommend talented individuals around them. To facilitate this, a ‘Government Participation Talent Pool’ section has been opened and is being operated on the Gochang-gun integrated homepage.

The established talent pool database is extracted and provided to county office departments upon request for talent pool data.

The requesting departments select and utilize suitable candidates through qualification verification, and the talent pool will be operated and managed to maintain high-quality personnel through activity evaluations.

In addition, for the instructor talent pool, separate registration and management are conducted in the ‘Lifelong Learning Instructor Bank’ through the review of the lifelong learning department, and it is made public on the homepage for use by related institutions within the county.

A Gochang-gun official said, “We will expand county administration participation by groups such as women and youth who have not participated much so far to carry out balanced county administration, while raising residents’ pride and community spirit through this.”
