Naju-si to Hold 'Communication Message Board Slogan Contest' Until the 20th of Next Month

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 28th that it will hold the first half of this year’s ‘Communication Phrase Contest’ until the 20th of next month.

The communication phrases are emotional messages that encourage and comfort citizens, awaken hope and a spirit of challenge, and share the future vision of Naju together.

In addition to personally created phrases within 25 characters, excerpts from literary works are also allowed.

Applicants can fill out the application form posted on the city hall website during the period and submit it by visiting the General Affairs Division of City Hall or by email.

The city will select three winning entries through the phrase selection committee’s review and plans to award Naju Love Gift Certificates worth 500,000 KRW for the grand prize, 300,000 KRW for the excellence prize, and 200,000 KRW for the encouragement prize.

The winning entries will be produced as large banners and posted on the exterior walls of five administrative welfare centers in the town, township, and neighborhood offices within the jurisdiction.

A city official said, “We hope that this first half communication phrase contest will serve as an opportunity to deliver messages of hope to citizens who are experiencing many difficulties due to health concerns from the spread of COVID-19 and the economic downturn in the region.”
