Daegu Bank 1st Headquarters Closed... Employee Confirmed with COVID-19

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] DGB Daegu Bank announced on the morning of the 28th that one employee working at the bank's headquarters in Suseong-gu, Daegu, was confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), leading to the closure of the entire first headquarters building.

Upon receiving the confirmation notification, Daegu Bank immediately closed the entire building and is conducting disinfection work.

The Emergency Response Committee ordered about 700 headquarters employees to work from home that day. However, a minimum essential staff performing closing tasks will carry out their duties wearing protective equipment.

Daegu Bank completed the first round of disinfection of the entire building that day and plans to conduct a second round of disinfection over the weekend. The headquarters building will resume normal operations starting from the 2nd of next month.

Daegu Bank stated, "We will promptly respond to disinfection at locations confirmed by the COVID-19 positive individual's movement, self-quarantine, and closures to ensure no inconvenience in customer service."

Daegu Bank's eight branches, including Dongsan Hospital branch, were closed, but three branches that completed disinfection (Seongseo Homeplus branch, Dasa branch, Daegu City Hall annex branch) have resumed operations.
