Total 19 COVID-19 Cases in Chungnam... 16 Cases in Cheonan Alone (Comprehensive)

[Asia Economy (Cheonan) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Seven new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Chungnam. All additional confirmed cases were from Cheonan.

According to Chungnam Province on the 28th, as of 9 a.m. that day, seven new COVID-19 cases were added, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Chungnam area to 19.

The newly confirmed cases include five women in their 40s and two men in their 30s and 40s, all residing in Cheonan. Among the confirmed cases, Ms. A (43, female) and Ms. B (46, female) were identified as Zumba class participants, and it was reported that they tested positive for COVID-19 without showing any particular symptoms.

Also, Mr. C (45, male) was confirmed during the epidemiological investigation to have had contact with a recent confirmed case.

Currently, the provincial government and quarantine authorities are conducting facility disinfection and closure measures following the movements of the seven additional confirmed cases, and the confirmed patients will be admitted to negative pressure rooms at infectious disease management institutions.
