[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Jeongsu] Petdoc, a pet specialist company, announced on the 28th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with bioscience company Osang Jaiel.
Through this MOU, Petdoc plans to develop pet-exclusive products using Osang Jaiel's new material 'Jaielite' by utilizing pet-related data and know-how. In addition, they plan to collaborate in various ways to create pet products.
According to Petdoc, Jaielite, developed by Osang Jaiel through 10 years of research, is a pharmaceutical and bio new material developed with proprietary technology. It works by adsorbing bacteria and removing them from the skin surface, eliminating harmful bacteria, naturally regenerating the skin, and alleviating dermatitis symptoms such as atopy and acne. It has no side effects like existing steroid-based products and is a non-toxic material made with an eco-friendly process, making it harmless to pets.
Choi Seung-yong, CEO of Petdoc, explained, "Since pets lick themselves, products used on their skin must be chosen more carefully," adding, "Jaielite is an ingredient whose efficacy has already been verified through human-use products, making it safe and highly effective for treatment." He also stated, "We plan to create products that pet owners can use with confidence through this MOU."
Petdoc is a pet specialist company centered around the application 'Petdoc,' which provides free veterinary consultation services, and operates a pet product brand developed with veterinarians as well as a total pet care center.
