[Today’s Weather] Cloudy and Rainy Nationwide... Fine Dust Level 'Good'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] On Friday the 28th, the weather will be cloudy nationwide, with rain starting from the coastal areas of Jeollado and spreading across the country by the afternoon.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the country will be under the edge of a high-pressure system moving eastward over the East Sea, and will be mostly cloudy due to the influence of a trough approaching from the southwest.

Expected precipitation amounts are 5-10mm in Chungcheong-do, Jeolla-do, the southern coast of Gyeongnam, Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon-do; 5mm in the eastern coast of Gangwon-do, Gyeongsang-do (excluding the southern coast of Gyeongnam), the five western islands, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo.

Morning low temperatures are expected to be △Seoul 3°C △Daejeon 2°C △Daegu 3°C △Busan 5°C △Jeonju 4°C △Gwangju 5°C △Chuncheon -1°C △Gangneung 2°C △Jeju 8°C △Ulleungdo and Dokdo 2°C.

Afternoon high temperatures are forecast to be △Seoul 7°C △Daejeon 7°C △Daegu 7°C △Busan 11°C △Jeonju 8°C △Gwangju 8°C △Chuncheon 6°C △Gangneung 8°C △Jeju 12°C △Ulleungdo and Dokdo 7°C.

According to the National Institute of Environmental Research, fine dust levels will range from 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions.

The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "Visibility may be reduced in areas with rain or snow, and roads may be slippery overnight due to freezing of rain or snow. Please be cautious for traffic safety."
