[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Hyeong-seok] Mokpo City announced on the 27th that it conducted a full survey of Shincheonji believers in the area.

The city, with the participation of about 100 people including city employees and Shincheonji countermeasure officials, immediately began the full survey on the 26th right after receiving a list of 2,563 believers in the Mokpo area from the government, and completed the first survey around 11 p.m. after about 4 hours.

This survey checked whether they had attended gatherings in Daegu/Gyeongbuk (2.7.?2.11. / 2.16.) or Gwangju (2.16.), whether they had contact with confirmed cases, whether they had fever or respiratory symptoms, and whether any family members had symptoms.

As a result of the survey, among the 2,352 contacted believers, none were found to have attended gatherings held in Daegu, Gyeongbuk, or Gwangju.

However, one believer reported having a cough and underwent a COVID-19 diagnostic test on the morning of the 27th, and was placed under self-quarantine until the test results were released on the 28th.

Also, there was one simple visitor who went to Daegu on the 8th to visit his son in the military, but no suspicious symptoms were identified.

There were 211 believers who did not answer the phone, and a second phone survey will be conducted this morning. If contact is still not possible, the city plans to cooperate with the police to locate them as quickly as possible.

Furthermore, the city will continue to manage all believers, including those found to have no abnormalities in the first survey, by regularly checking their health status through phone calls over the next two weeks.
