Research on the Efficacy of Maekbanseok, Collaborative Project on European Marine Bio Joint Research

The "Marine Healing Blue Zone Creation Project" is a regional innovation platform creation project that develops Wando's clean environment and marine resources through convergence with 4th Industrial Revolution technologies.
At the briefing session, a Q&A session was held regarding the progress and future research directions of the "Research Service on the Nutritional Relationship between Maekbanseok and Seafood" and the "Blue Valley Park Linked Project Service."
The Maekbanseok efficacy research is being promoted to scientifically verify the excellence by establishing scientific grounds for the taste and nutritional components of Maekbanseok, mudflats, and seafood through basic research on the marine geological environment in the area.
The Blue Valley Park linked project will promote building networks with European seaweed and marine bio research institutions, joint research cooperation projects with the Roscope Marine Biology Research Center, and attracting R&D research institutes of domestic and foreign bio companies.
Shin Woo-cheol, Wando-gun governor, requested, "Through the Maekbanseok efficacy research, we must differentiate and highlight the excellence of Wando seafood, and strive to promote joint cooperation projects with Europe's Blue Valley Park to revitalize the marine bio industry."
Last year, Wando-gun was selected for the "Wando Marine Healing Blue Zone Creation Project" announced by the National Balanced Development Committee, securing a project budget of 18.2 billion KRW, and is promoting projects in five fields including the creation of a marine healing bio research complex.
