[Photo] Singer Chaeyeon Donates 1,000 Sanitizing Cleansers for Gwangjin-gu Residents

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) received a donation of 1,000 sterilizing cleansers from singer Chaeyeon on the 26th at the district office's planning situation room.

Singer Chaeyeon stated, "I hope to prevent the local spread of COVID-19 and avoid additional infections," adding, "I spent my school days in Gwangjin-gu and my agency is located here, so I decided to donate with the desire to overcome these difficult times together with my neighbors."

The donated sterilizing cleansers will be used for disinfecting activities in local multi-use facilities and will be delivered to medical institutions and vulnerable residents who need quarantine disinfection supplies.

Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "The donated sterilizing cleansers will be a great help to vulnerable groups who have difficulty securing quarantine supplies," and added, "Gwangjin-gu will mobilize all its administrative capabilities to ensure an early overcoming of COVID-19."

Additionally, on the 22nd, an anonymous resident donated 1,000 masks hoping they would be delivered to those in need, and Lion Korea Co., Ltd. also donated about 300 hand sanitizers, which are planned to be distributed first to screening clinics and households under self-quarantine.
