Gas Gong, Supports Vulnerable Groups in Daegu with Masks Worth 230 Million KRW


[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Gas Corporation announced that it will donate 230 million KRW worth of quarantine supplies, including masks, to vulnerable groups in the Daegu area who are struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).


The Gas Corporation stated that it will provide 67,340 masks to vulnerable groups in the region by donating 200 million KRW to Daegu City.


Additionally, on the 26th, the Gas Corporation plans to deliver 5,700 masks and 570 disinfectants, purchased for about 30 million KRW, to 19 elderly welfare facilities in the Daegu area.


The Gas Corporation is a market-oriented public enterprise leading the import and nationwide supply of natural gas, and relocated its headquarters to Daegu Sinseo Innovation City in 2014 in accordance with government policy.


Chae Heebong, President of the Gas Corporation, said, "We hope this mask support will help to some extent in preventing the community spread of COVID-19," and added, "As a representative regional public enterprise, we will actively participate in efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 going forward."
