Vietnam, All 16 COVID-19 Patients Fully Recovered

"Cannot Be Assured"... 6,470 People Quarantined Due to Visits to Infected Areas and Contact with Confirmed Cases

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] All 16 people diagnosed with the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Vietnam have fully recovered.

On the 25th (local time), US CNN reported citing Vietnamese health authorities that this was the case. They also added that no new confirmed cases have appeared since the 13th.

However, Vietnamese health authorities remain vigilant. One suspected patient with symptoms such as fever is in quarantine, and 6,470 people who have no symptoms but came from COVID-19 outbreak areas or had close contact with confirmed cases are also quarantined. The Vietnamese government is still locking down a residential area of 10,000 people in Vinh Phuc Province, where 6 COVID-19 cases were reported.

Meanwhile, Vietnam has decided to quarantine all arrivals from China and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk regions of Korea for two weeks. However, Koreans from Daegu-Gyeongbuk who show no abnormalities in pre-entry tests may be allowed to return home immediately.
