According to health authorities on the 25th, the 298th patient died on this day. This patient was a 58-year-old male related to Cheongdo Daenam Hospital. Health authorities are currently investigating the cause of death.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country surged to triple digits again on this day, following the previous day. According to health authorities, 144 new patients were confirmed in a single day. This marks a consecutive two-day increase in triple digits following 231 cases the day before.
The confirmed cases were 60 in the morning and an additional 84 in the afternoon. Among them, 44 were in the Daegu area, and the rest were in Gyeongbuk (23), Busan (5), Seoul (4), Gyeonggi (2), Gyeongnam (2), Chungbuk (2), Ulsan (1), and Chungnam (1).
