COVID-19 Cases Confirmed at LS Yongsan Tower... Building Closed for Disinfection

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] A new coronavirus infection has occurred at LS Tower in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where LS Group affiliates and Samil Accounting Corporation are located.

According to Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and LS officials on the 25th, an employee working in the office on the 16th floor of LS Tower tested positive in the first test on the 24th.

The patient is an employee of an LS Group affiliate and is known to reside in Gyeonggi-do. The employee is undergoing isolation treatment, and the final confirmation result is expected to be announced in the afternoon of the same day.

LS Group closed the building on the afternoon of the 24th, and Yongsan-gu has been conducting disinfection since the morning of the 25th.

Therefore, employees of LS Group affiliates residing in LS Tower, such as LS Corporation, LS Cable & System, LS Nikko Copper Inc., E1, and LS Networks, have been instructed to work from home for two days on the 25th and 26th.

Regarding employee self-quarantine, an LS official said, "It seems that the decision will be made if the final confirmation is positive in the second test."
