On the 24th, singer Yang Joon-il appeared as a guest on MBC's 'Bae Cheol-soo Jam.'

In the broadcast, Yang Joon-il said about his great popularity, "I still check every morning when I open my eyes to see if I really exist. It feels like a dream every day. I still can't believe it."

He also mentioned his wealthy childhood. Yang Joon-il said, "My parents supported the production costs of my first album," adding, "I didn't want to study, so I didn't want to enter university. It didn't seem like my path."

He explained, "When I first went to the U.S., I went there poor," but added, "My parents earned money and moved. At one point, my parents ran a big business in real estate."

He continued, "Once, when my younger sibling graduated from middle school, my mother promised, 'If you graduate first in your class, I will grant your wish.' My sibling actually graduated first. At that time, my sibling asked for a sports car," and he revealed, "My mother was so surprised but since she promised, she had no choice but to buy it. I was driving a sedan then, but she bought two cars, including mine," which amazed the audience.

MC Bae Cheol-soo said to Yang Joon-il, who lived in Florida for four years, "I've never seen someone with such pale skin living in Florida," to which Yang Joon-il replied, "Actually, in Florida, you age. Because of the heat, your skin just stretches. I became younger after coming back to Korea."

Also, Yang Joon-il confessed that his birthplace is not Korea but Vietnam. He said, "I was born in Vietnam. It was during the war when I was born," and added, "My father was not a soldier but a travel agency employee. He went as an employee, and my mother went to Vietnam to meet him. She was a reporter for the Korea Herald at that time."
