[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Around 2 p.m. on the 24th, a 1.8-ton fishing boat sank in the sea about 4 km northeast of Saengdo, Yeongdo-gu, Busan. The captain, A (66), is missing as a result of the accident.
After receiving a report from another vessel, the Coast Guard dispatched patrol ships, coastal rescue boats, the Central Special Rescue Team, and also mobilized private rescue ships to search the accident area.
It was reported that only Captain A was on board the fishing boat at the time.
The sunken fishing boat has been successfully towed.
