The Gwangju Bukbu Police Station announced on the 24th that they arrested A (37) on charges of inhaling a hallucinogenic substance at a motel (violation of the Chemical Substances Control Act).
On the morning of the 23rd, around 9:30 a.m., A stayed at a motel in Buk-gu, Gwangju, and consecutively inhaled four cans of butane gas.
After entering a hallucinatory state, A called the 119 emergency call center, asking for pizza delivery while complaining of auditory hallucinations.
The 119 emergency call center, concerned that A might make a wrong decision, reportedly requested police cooperation.
The police opened the motel room door and arrested A.
Currently, A is receiving treatment at a hospital for symptoms such as dizziness and auditory hallucinations.
