New Service 'Jikgeorae Daesinman' Verifies Fake Listings

New Service 'Jikgeorae Daesinman' Verifies Fake Listings

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Chunsu Kim] As online transactions of secondhand goods become widespread, various cases of damage such as false listings are rapidly increasing.

Amid this, the startup company ‘Daesinhwagin’ announced on the 23rd that it has launched an O2O (Online to Offline) service for on-site verification and direct or indirect delivery of secondhand goods.

This service directly verifies not only whether the listing is false but also the condition of the product, and if necessary, sends the item via courier on behalf of the customer.

To protect consumers from false or bait listings, more than 1,500 delivery and quick service riders affiliated with over 100 branches nationwide verify and certify the actual listings, making it the first service of its kind introduced nationwide.

When a buyer suspects a listing to be false or requests verification of an item, the ‘Daesinhwagin’ customer center contacts the rider closest to the product’s location to request confirmation.

In the case of used cars, the service verifies the actual presence of the vehicle, sales documents presented to administrative agencies, performance inspection records, vehicle registration certificates, and even conducts a simple test drive on behalf of the buyer.

The service not only performs simple verification but also provides video calls with the buyer to check the item together and ultimately ships the product via courier.

With the introduction of this service, the hassle of visiting each site to verify actual listings when purchasing secondhand goods is expected to disappear.

The company officially obtained a related patent from the Korean Intellectual Property Office to promote this business. To activate the service, it plans to develop a smartphone app within the year and pursue business partnerships with O2O platform companies such as Kakao.

Park Junchul, CEO of Daesinhwagin, said, “There is no longer any need to worry about scam damage or false listings in online secondhand goods transactions,” adding, “We provide various services not only for used cars, one-room apartments, and secondhand goods verification but also for emergency checks on children home alone and elderly living alone.”
