Kim Woong, a former prosecutor recruited by the New Conservative Party, was exclusively recommended for Songpa-gap, Seoul, and Representative Kim Yong-tae was exclusively recommended for Guro-eul, Seoul. In Guro-eul, Yoon Gun-young, former head of the Blue House National Policy Planning Office, has applied for the Democratic Party nomination and is awaiting the screening results.

Former prosecutor investigator Kim Tae-woo was given a priority recommendation (strategic nomination) for Gangseo-eul, Seoul, and Osan, Gyeonggi Province was designated as a priority recommendation area. In Seo-gu-gap, Incheon, candidates Kang Beom-seok and Lee Hak-jae will compete in a primary election scheduled for the 28th to 29th.

Lee Seok-yeon, vice chairman of the Nomination Committee, said at a briefing held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building on the same day, "Originally, interviews for the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region were scheduled for tomorrow. Considering the COVID-19 situation, we are reviewing whether to conduct video interviews, and if so, we are discussing internally in depth how, when, and by what method to proceed." He also said, "We are discussing video interviews in depth."

Regarding the Gangnam area of Seoul, he mentioned, "Gangnam Gap, Eul, and Byeong were selected as strategic nomination areas, but the electoral district adjustment has not been finalized," adding, "It is also possible that Gangnam may be reduced by one district."

Regarding Representative Lee Eun-jae's request for reconsideration, he said, "The Nomination Committee proceeded with a fair and transparent process, so while we will review it, I can say that it will be handled strictly according to the procedures."

The vice chairman also stated regarding former leader Hong Joon-pyo's registration as a preliminary candidate in Yangsan-eul, "This is unrelated to the Nomination Committee, and no decisions have been made regarding this."
