[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] On the 22nd, a man in his 20s suspected of being infected with COVID-19 collapsed at Youngpoong Bookstore located in Gwangju General Bus Terminal and was transported to a hospital.
At around 4 p.m. that day, Mr. A suddenly collapsed at Youngpoong Bookstore and reportedly told an employee who rushed over in surprise that "he had been to Daegu and had contact with a Chinese person."
Mr. A showed symptoms of cough, sore throat, and mild fever, raising suspicion of COVID-19 infection, and was currently transferred to the screening clinic at Chosun University Hospital. Chosun University Hospital plans to collect samples from Mr. A and request a COVID-19 test.
The paramedics who had contact with Mr. A entered self-quarantine, and the Youngpoong Bookstore in question was temporarily closed.
