'Immortal Songs' Ali Defeats Vocal Mentor Woongsan for First Win: "I Want to Embrace My Teacher"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the 22nd, Ali defeated Woongsan and secured her first win on KBS2's 'Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend.'

That day, 'Immortal Songs' was themed around 'Na Ae-sim.' The first stage featured a showdown between Ali and her vocal mentor, Woongsan. MC Shin Dong-yup introduced Ali, saying she was very nervous to meet her own vocal teacher.

Woongsan took the stage first and received applause for her rendition of 'Baekchi Adada' with her unique sophisticated tone. Following her, Ali presented 'Sewoli Gamyeon' in a musical style, delivering a fresh performance.

Woongsan shared an experience from five years ago when she performed with her student Kim Jin-ho and lost, expressing that today's competition with Ali was fun and enjoyable. On the other hand, Ali expressed deep respect by saying she wanted to quickly get off the stage and hug her teacher.

In this stage, Ali defeated Woongsan and earned her first victory.
