Busan City Releases Movement Routes of 2 COVID-19 Confirmed Cases

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jonghyo] Busan City disclosed the movement routes of 2 out of 3 confirmed COVID-19 cases on the 22nd.


Mr. A, a male born in 2001 residing in Dongnae-gu, visited Daedong Hospital's screening clinic around 9 a.m. on February 21 with symptoms of fever and headache. After testing the specimen, he was confirmed positive at 6:30 p.m. and is currently isolated and hospitalized at Busan Medical Center. His family consists of two parents who are currently under self-quarantine.


On February 18, Mr. A visited Dongnae Electronic Technical High School, Dongnae Daeseongtang (bathhouse), Dongnae Milmyeon main branch, Boksan-dong Community Center, Dongnae District Office, and a mart near Myeongnyun Station before returning home. On February 19, he visited Oncheon Church. On February 20, he visited Gwangalli Pizza Mall and Dongnae Kkum-e Green GS Convenience Store before returning home. On February 21, he visited Daedong Hospital screening clinic, Dongnae Gakkae Pharmacy (actual name), Dongnae Megamart, Eolsudaebakteojineunjip Dongnae branch, Dongnae District Health Center screening clinic, and was then transferred to Busan Medical Center.

Ms. B, a female born in 1963 residing in Haeundae-gu, visited Haeundae Paik Hospital screening clinic around 11 a.m. on February 21 with symptoms of cough and chills. After testing the specimen, she was confirmed positive at 6:30 p.m. and is currently isolated and hospitalized at Busan Medical Center. Ms. B had fever and cough symptoms since the 19th and is reported to be in stable condition. Her family consists of her husband and two daughters, who are currently under self-quarantine.


On February 18, Ms. B took the SRT from Suseo Station to Busan Station and returned home. On February 19, she visited Jangsan Catholic Church in Banyeo-dong, Jangsan Myeongga in Banyeo-dong, and Nature Dream Banyeo branch before returning home. On February 20, she visited Centum Internal Medicine and the first-floor Wononnuri Pharmacy in Banyeo-dong. On February 21, she visited Paik Hospital screening clinic and was then transferred to Busan Medical Center.

Busan City stated, "Among the additional confirmed cases, one is a 20-year-old female residing in Haeundae-gu who visited Hanseo Hospital screening clinic and was confirmed positive today," adding, "We will disclose her movement routes after conducting an epidemiological investigation once confirmed."
