HNT "3D Mapping Specialist Camera Wins 'Company of the Year' Award in North America"

The 'Company of the Year Award' is given to companies recognized as leaders not only in mapping but also in other industries, awarded to those demonstrating outstanding performance in growth, innovation, and leadership.

Currently, in the North American HD mapping industry, fierce competition is underway among startups, advanced technology companies, and existing mapping firms to increase market share. Founded in 2015, Camera is based in New York, Seattle, San Francisco, and London, with branches in Detroit, Seoul, and Tokyo, providing HD mapping solutions that implement Hi-fi at the lowest cost, earning recognition as an industry leader.

Additionally, Camera utilizes smartphone-level technology and a crowdsourcing-based approach that is hardware-independent and freely compatible, shortening update cycles while achieving maximum effect at minimal cost.

Alongside this, Camera has formed partnerships with delivery truck and service vehicle companies to receive data transmissions. This demonstrates significantly higher accuracy compared to other platforms and plays a major role in smart city construction. Last year, it conducted demonstrations on urban surface roads, proving its capability to cover urban scales sufficiently, and possesses technology capable of covering transcontinental highway networks.

Based on its outstanding technology, Camera secured $200 billion in investment from Google Ventures in 2018 and has formed partnerships with startups preparing autonomous taxi businesses such as Voyage, Baidu's autonomous driving platform Apollo, and Japan's Toyota Research Institute-Advanced Development, maintaining close cooperation in the autonomous driving field.
