This special inspection of school meals was promoted with the purpose of preventing hygiene accidents such as food poisoning in school meals in advance and providing safe meals to students. Senior officials will also participate in the special inspection.
The special inspection team for school meals will make unannounced visits to hygiene-vulnerable facilities to check the hygiene management of meal facilities such as raw material storage rooms and kitchens. They also plan to guide and inspect the storage conditions of ingredients and whether expiration dates have passed.
A representative of the Gwangju Western Office of Education said, “Through this special inspection, we will make efforts to prevent hygiene accidents such as food poisoning in school meals at schools and to provide safe school meals to students.”
