Visit to Wushin Cosmetics, a Hand Sanitizer Manufacturer
Minister Park Young-sun of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups is visiting the factory of Wooshin Cosmetics, a company that manufactures good hand sanitizers.
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) announced that Minister Park Young-sun, following separate meetings with small business owners and startups to minimize the damage caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), visited Woorisin Cosmetics, a hand sanitizer manufacturer, on the 19th to check the supply status and listen to the company's difficulties.
Woorisin Cosmetics has contributed to supply stability by supplying hand sanitizers at affordable prices to Public Shopping, a public shopping channel under the Ministry, as demand for hand sanitizers increased due to COVID-19. Woorisin Cosmetics' hand sanitizers are scheduled to be sold through a guerrilla broadcast on Public Shopping within this month.
Woorisin Cosmetics, established in 1983, is a hand sanitizer manufacturer located in Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. Its representative product, 'Hemirus Hand Sanitizer,' has obtained ISO 9901, ISO 14001, and CGMP (Certified Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics) certifications and is also exported to overseas markets. Minister Park stated, "We will continue efforts to encourage companies working hard to prevent COVID-19 and to minimize the damage to small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners."
Meanwhile, during her visit to Woorisin Cosmetics, Minister Park was asked about the first trial verdict on Tada and responded, "There has always been criticism that laws and systems do not keep up with technological development or changes in the times. It was like that 100 years ago and it is still like that now," adding, "This ruling somewhat supplements such criticism."
